Use Token Transit for a safe and convenient contactless payment method for all Modesto Area Express (MAX) fares! You can also link your Token Transit account to your MAX app (Modesto myStop) and monitor all your travel from one awesome account! 

Here is how to get started with Token Transit:

1. Download  and Install “Token Transit” from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android). Enable Bluetooth and Location Services.
2. Purchase
   1. Select a Modesto Area Express (MAX) fare type, from a single ride to a 31-Day Pass. 
   2. Pay with your credit or debit card.
   3. All purchased mobile tickets or passes are stored in your Token Transit account.
3. Activate - When you are ready to ride, tap your ticket or pass to activate. All tickets and passes are stored in your Token Transit account.
4. Ride - As you board the bus, tap your phone to the Token Transit validator that is attached to the farebox. The validator will beep indicating the pass is valid.
