Sometimes on a hot day, it sounds like a lovely idea to sneak a cool beverage onto the bus. We know! Sometimes after a long day, it is easy to start sharing what you think everyone is doing wrong. We know! Sometimes after running errands, it’s hard to keep all your items from spilling out into the aisles and seats around you.
Trust me, we know! But we all need to remember that public transportation is just that, it’s public. It is for everyone and we all need to be on our best behavior to keep everyone feeling safe and happy.
Rules can be just as annoying as your seatmate sometimes, so Modesto Area Express (MAX) and Stanislaus Regional Transit (StaRT) have some tips on how to help mind your Ps and Qs and maybe bring a smile to your face while riding:
- Ride like your grandma is sitting next to you!
- If you don’t have something nice to say on the bus, text it silently to a friend who will find it amusing.
- Enjoy your tasty beverage somewhere else so the rest of us don’t end up wearing it.
- Keep your hands, feet, gallon of milk, bunch of bananas, laundry detergent, and cat litter to yourself.
