This change gives Ceres residents expanded access to destinations in Modesto and beyond. The new Modesto Area Express (MAX) Route 44 will operate on the same schedule as Ceres Area Transit (CAT). Ceres Dial-A-Ride (CDAR) will now be included in Modesto Area Dial-A-Ride (MADAR)’s service area. CDAR riders are eligible to travel throughout Ceres and Modesto. Benefits to this service include:
- Travel from Ceres to Modesto on a MAX pass instead of two passes
- Future integration into the MAX app for real-time tracking
- Improved service alerts
- Centralized customer service
- Modesto Junior College Students ride Free
- The same rider policies as CAT
- Expanded days and hours of service for DAR riders
