Rideshare Week is an opportunity for the community to come together and explore alternatives to solo driving in order to reduce road congestion, air pollution, negative effects on our personal health and well-being, and the depletion of our natural resources.
During Rideshare Week, Modesto Area Express (MAX), Modesto Dial-a-Ride (MADAR) and Stanislaus Regional Transit (StaRT) invite you to explore other ways of getting where you need to go to save money, improve your health, reduce your stress, and preserve our air quality. Riding MAX, MADAR and StaRT is a great free option until the end of the year; but you can also ride a bike, walk, carpool, scooter, or skip. Get creative!
If you are a dedicated commuter who relies on MAX & StaRT commuter services, be sure to enroll in the Emergency Ride Home Program. This service is available to all commuters who register in advance and use alternative transportation at least 3 times each week. Visit DIBS or call 1-800-52-SHARE for more information.
