Stanislaus Regional Transit Authority (The S) is rolling out zero-emission buses, but why? About 40% of greenhouse emissions come from oil consumption in the transportation industry so the California Air Resources Board is requiring that all public transit agencies in the state convert to 100% zero-emission buses by 2040. That means goodbye diesel and hello safe, clean energy. Currently, The S is studying the best ways to make that conversion. How slow or speedy should the rollout be? How should funds be allocated? Where would zero-emission buses be most valuable in the community?
That's where you come in. The S looks forward to partnering with you as we create a plan to transition The S to cleaner energy sources. Take our survey and become a part of the conversation today!
